Welcome to Travels with Tom
Boredom set in after a few months and I wanted to continue working; something local and less hectic. In early 2014 I started driving a van for a premier senior living community in Marietta. After a while I approached my manager with the idea of an alternative to bingo and movies. Since I'd traveled extensively during my career, I thought it might be a good idea to share my travels with the residents. Not long after Travels With Tom was created. It is more than the traditional 'slideshow.' It is an interactive presentation of slides and short video clips that has a smooth flowing narrative that is seamlessly woven together.
From the first presentation, and everyone thereafter was a resounding success. All monthly shows were filled to capacity.
This past July I resigned after four years driving the van and am now devoting my time and efforts to my new venture!
